Poetic Thursday: Picnic In The Rain

Closing out August with poetry today. As we do almost every week, we’re joining Pam, and her kitties, Teddy and Angel Sammy, at Two Spoiled Cats, for Poetic Thursday.

Picnic In The Rain

There was a morning mist, so we had to decide
if we wanted to take our weekly bike ride.

We took a chance, threw caution to the wind,
and soon we were both soaked to the skin.

A picnic in the rain, a table for two.
Do I love you? Why, yes, I do!

Memories were made that day in the rain,
but we both agreed not to do THAT again,
