Poetic Thursday: Wife Or Mom?

It’s the first Poetic Thursday of October. We have autumnal weather today in southeast Virginia: sunny, breezy and a bit of a high tide, but we’ll take it.

Each week, we join our friend, Pam, and her kitties, Teddy and Angel Sammy, at Two Spoiled Cats as they host Poetic Thursday.  We were given this photo for our inspiration:

This was a tough one for me, but here’s my poem:

Wife Or Mom?

Snow monkey, hot springs,
wouldn’t you know it? Phone rings

Will he answer? What’s your guess?
Wife or mom, the answer’s yes.

  1. Your poem came out great, even if it was tough. Our mom only managed a haiku. This fall so far has been lovely in southwest Virginia. XOCK, angels Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona & Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer, Kizmet, Audrey & Raleigh

  2. I’m sure you’re right! Nobody – even a monkey – would dare not take a call from a spouse or Mom!!! Cute poem and thanks for playing along with us.

    Hugs, Pam, Teddy and Sammy

  4. I wondered how you would address that picture. I shouldn’t have wondered – you got it!!

  5. I agree with Marshall, that was a challenging pic but you penned a clever poem.
