A Regal Sunrise

I had my alarm set for 4:30 yesterday morning to be sure I was awake in time to see the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

There are so many opinions of the wedding and all aspects of it. As for me, I thought it  was perfect.

While the wedding was taking place on the other side of the world, the sun was rising outside my window.

For me, optimism is two lovers walking into the sunset arm in arm.
Or maybe into the sunrise – whatever appeals to you.

  1. Lovely! I thought the wedding was perfect too.

  2. I didn’t have to set my alarm to be awake to watch the wedding. It was a delight. I liked Katherine’s wedding dress much better than Princess D’s. It was simple but beautiful.

  3. Well, I caught some of the wedding on TV, and now I’ve caught up on yesterday’s sunrise!!

  4. no getting up early to watch a wedding for me! she was a pretty bride and hopefully they will be happy.

  5. Funny, I’d forgotten all about it (not really into all the royal stuff) and I while looking for the morning news there the bride was walking down the aisle with her dad. I watched on and off till the end! My favorite thing? The trees in the Abby and the silver brow bands on the horses bridles that pulled the bridal coach. But really…everything was very lovely.

  6. I didn’t get up, but kind of wish I had. I was so heartbroken with the way things worked out for Charles & Diana, the last Royal wedding I watched. I do hope only the best for the new couple.

  7. I woke up early, just before 3 AM, to put the last touches on the dining room table. As I finished cutting the cantaloupe, my first guest for our Royal Wedding party arrived. We had coffee, orange juice mimosas (mine was just OJ) since I had to teach class later in the morning. It was fun to share memories of London, memories of Diana…lots of little memories recorded in just being together. By 7:30 AM we scattered to our daily routines. And yes, I was at school by 8:30.
