Sundae Says…It’s Just Beachy

….AND…..it’s Sundae again!

Do you remember my post last week about going with Motor Man and Motor Mommy to their beach house in the Outer Banks of North Carolina?

A couple of you (including my “half brother”, Marshall), suggested that I could be known as Motor Kitty. I like that – it’s very appropriate!

Anyway, my parents were a little concerned about how I would adjust to being in a different house. So here’s a little pictorial story. First I sought out a soft spot and found it here on the sofa.

Later, I turned on the cuteness, and Motor Mommy couldn’t resist sitting on the floor to play with me.

Then I lured in Motor Man.

It’s pretty obvious that I felt completely at home, don’t you think? Motor Mommy even made a paper ball for me to play with.

Motor Mommy! This chair’s just not the same: I need a window seat for the beach house! Please…?

And now. THIS photo. Motor Mommy is going against my wishes by posting this. She just thinks it’s too cute not to share. But at least she has applied a butterfly in a strategic location (the way The Pioneer Woman does sometimes).

Motor Mommy just better watch out. I’m gonna find an embarrassing picture of her and post it! That’ll teach her.

  1. So cute! I am glad you traveled well, Sundae! Our furry child, Sweetie, loves to sit on the back of the sofa in our RV and look out the window (but only when we have it parked! – she has to ride in the truck when we are traveling.) You look completely at home, except in front of the window. I agree – that chair does leave a lot to be desired for a lookout post! Have a wonderful day!

  2. Oh Little Miss Motor Kitty what great photos and indeed it appears you’re ALSO a “beach baby”….you look totally happy at the cottage and your Mom and Dad are happy you did so well on that trip – I see more beach trips in your future!!

  3. and I’ll bet Motor Kitty’s motor was running as you were petting her! 🙂 MJ

  4. Dear Sundae:

I have a question for you – do your Motor parents get tired of you when you are only trying to give them some love? I do not understand why my Mom and Dad throw me off of their chests after I have been kneading their necks for only an hour or two! Don’t they understand I only want them to know they are loved? (Not to mention I get my “jollys” doing it, too!) Please advise!

    Your friend,
    Justin

    Dear Dianna:

I love this post! Where is your home on the OBX? Our son and daughter-in-love and granddaughter Zoë just moved back out there earlier this month. They are living in Nags Head now (but have lived in several different places there over the last several years). We will be going out often to visit our granddaughter (and maybe her parents, too!). It would be nice to meet you one of these days. We probably won’t be bringing Justin along, but sometimes our dog Princess will come with us.

    Have a great week!

    Your cyber friend,
    Paula

  5. Oh Sundae you are too dang cute! I am sure your request for a window seat will not be denied, especially since you said “please”. You are just the best kitty, very laid back and just enjoy what Motor Mommy and Motor Man throw at you. I am glad you enjoyed the beach house, I mean what kitty wouldn’t? Love the last shot, it is too cute not to share!

  6. I just know that Motor Kitty brings such joy to your home. When and where will the next adventure be?

  7. ADORABLE AND SO PHOTOGENIC!!!!!!!

  8. Cool window seat.
OMG The fabric on the seat is the same as in our guest room. I’ll have to e-mail you a picture.

  9. What a great trip for you, Sundae! You do look relaxed and right at home.

  10. Sundae, you look like you really having fun relaxing at the beach house! My Stormy loves to lay on her back just like you do. I really laughed at the last photo, because it reminded me so much of Stormy when she does that and I’ve often thought she needs “something” where the butterfly is too!

  11. Looks like Sundae is leaving ‘her’ mark on the beach house! She’s just a ‘traveling kitty’!!

  12. Sundae looks right at home. But then it looks almost like her home. Can’t wait to see the new beach house.

  13. How can one kitty contain SO MUCH CUTENESS?

  16. Oh, dear, Dianna, you may be in trouble now! lol
And no window seat for the princess to enjoy the view? That’s really roughing it, Sundae.

  17. Nice to see your beach house ~ through Sundae’s eyes, of course!

  18. Yes- judging by the last picture, I’d say she she’s fairly comfortable there! All she needs is that window seat … & the ‘butterfly effect’ is great 🙂
