Happy Monday, furriends! Well, if you’re reading this, it means that you survived the Vermont/Friesian saga of last week. I mean, really, has my Motor Mommy gone horse crazy or what?
Oh, I admit those horses are pretty and all, but let’s think about it:
Yes, Friesians have a beautiful shiny black coat, but I ask you, who can resist white tummy fur? Hmm?
And, sure, those Friesians can pull a sleigh through the snow with no problem, but can they do this?
Did you ever hear anyone say a horse hoof was cute?
And can horses perform cat scans?
You certainly can’t take a Friesian for a drive in the family car.

Although Motor Mommy is certainly smitten with those Friesians right now, I really don’t think I have to worry about her actually getting one. Wanna know how I know that?
It could never cuddle in her lap like I do.
Yes, even though my parents went off for that wonderful Friesian weekend, they came right back home to me. Just like I knew they would.

I don’t think you have a thing to worry about Sundae. Your cuddles are worth everything to your mommy so stay close.
You’ve got THAT right Sundae! You’re a far better choice for a pet than one of those great big horses. They are pretty but paws down you’ve got them ALL beat!

Sundae!!!! I know your mommy and daddy have a big house, but I don’t think the horse would have the run of the house, as you do. Also, I think you might get more hugs and kisses. And further more your food bowl would be to small for them……..So there!!!!! You win hands down…….
Sundae I think you make some excellent points here. I also think your position as top cat was never at risk. Tell Motor Mommy I love how her toe paint matches the chair and tell her we have that same color chair and the material looks the same too! I enjoyed all the pictures this morning 🙂 I for one could not resist that white tummy fur!

They’re amazing animals, but it would also be difficult to give one of them tummy scratches while they’re rolled over in the hallway or in front of the fridge..
And you probably won’t find a Friesian curled up in a ball on a window seat, either 🙂

Horses is cool, but your mommy can’t cuddles with a horsie in the middle of the night! And me don’t thinks they can purrs as good as yous!

I don’t think you had a single thing to worry about, Sundae! Neither does Stormy, who is curled up into a white ball of fur right in front of my computer screen. She knows that not a single one of the other 3 kitties will ever take her place as Number One. That is a sweet photo of you giving Motor Man a cat scan and also with your Motor Mommy!
I’m sure Sundae is right…a little cat is a better fit in most lives than a horse! Especially for purposes of cuddling, driving/riding and writing blog posts! ~ Sheila

Horses are nice, but they are HUGE and they eat a lot! I am sure your Mom is MUCH happer with you…even though those horses are pretty. You, however, are such a beautiful lady…
