Once again, I’m participating in Poetic Thursday with Pam, Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats.
This is the photo we were given for this week’s inspiration:
And here’s my poem:
A Gown Of Blue
I’ll reach for the moon, and when I do,
you can be sure I’ll be wearing a gown of blue.
Silver stars sparkle in midnight skies,
and dreams take flight on sleepy sighs.
A quick visit to a make-believe world,
then it’s back to real life for this little girl.
I have no plans to touch the moon,
just content to see her on this night in June.
~These Days Of Mine~
Sweet poem for today’s photo/poem challenge. I love this photo and the magic it has created in the minds of everyone who has participated today – I’ve read nothing but fabulous poetry this morning!!! Have a great Thursday.
Pam
Dianna, it’s been a joy watching you (reading your) evolve as a writer.
Love your poems. Have you considered compiling them into a book for publishing? You would do well.
Beautiful! You have such talent! I agree with Cindy’s comment above!
Beautiful … no plans to touch, just reaching …
A perfect and sweet poem!! So proud of my friend expanding her talents. ❤
Reach for the moon – a wonderful dream. Love your poem, Dianna.
Love your poem and the inspiration of the person responsible for the picture. Neat concept.
