It’s so odd that, sometimes, something outside will catch either my eye or Motor Man’s. Most of the time, it’s very subtle, but we just know something is different.
That was the case one afternoon last week.
I glanced out of our bedroom window to see this sweet deer, very well camouflaged, relaxing by the marsh grass.
I’m happy that they feel secure enough in our yard to (somewhat) let down their guard. But I know how quickly this one would have leapt through that grass had it been alarmed.

We are so happy to have lots of deer visit our yard too……they are so beautiful! This one looks totally relaxed.

Why is it something so pretty can be so-o-o-o destructive? May I just say peanuts, blueberry bushes, roses, pansies, veggie garden, and more??? I must admit that I smile when I see them out in our back field.
it is nice to see that level of comfort out there… & it’s good to see the grass so close ..
They know a safe area when they see it. So sweet.
