Yesterday, Motor Man and I, once again, ventured to the Corolla/Carova area of the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
It was a picture perfect day: blue sky with just the right amount of clouds and sun.
The seagulls seemed to be holding a Sunday morning meeting.
Several shrimp boats were working just off shore. They made for interesting photos.
But, of course, our real reason for these trips is to see the my wild horses. We saw a total of 33, which isn’t bad for this time of year. None were on the beach, but we saw these two on the dunes.
And this beauty was having lunch.
Yum-yum….dune grass. (Picture taken from our vehicle and cropped.)
The horses aren’t ‘wearing’ their winter coats yet, but we can’t help but wonder how many more warm, sunny days we’ll have before the cold weather arrives.
~These Days Of Mine~
I’m thinking these last weeks have been a “gift” – we should be knee deep in memories of these days in a couple of weeks when we get a reality check on our weather! Meanwhile……enjoy!

Happy days!
Yesterday certainly was a wonderful day for beach and the wonderful horses. .
What a beautiful sky and seagulls and love the shrimp boats – hadn’t seen them before when we’ve been at the OBX. You’re right about wondering how many more of these warm days we’ll have. I expect the winter coats will be showing soon. Love going along on your visit, virtually.
Summer’s hanging on for a few more, I think …. but I’m sure they’ll get their coats out when it’s time !
