Windowpane Wednesday: Full Beaver Moon

On Monday, our weather was blustery and rainy. But it cleared off later in the day, just in time for us to see the full moon.

This was taken through our bedroom window.

And this picture was taken from our deck just a little earlier in the evening.  The moon really illuminated the sky.

Full moon names are so interesting. According to the Old Farmers Almanac, November’s full moon was given the name ‘Beaver Moon’,  because that’s the time of year beavers take shelter before winter weather arrives.

  1. What beautiful pictures. The moon has been so pretty and bright this week. ….And I never knew of the different names of the moon. You’ve aroused my curiosity.

  2. I’ve enjoyed how bright the moon has been these last days…..several neighbors have decorated their houses outside with lights for the holiday and I think “Mr. Moon” is trying to outshine them all and succeeding!
