Welcome to another Thursday, which, here at These Days, means a little poetry. Each week, we join Pam and her kitties at Two Spoiled Cats for Poetic Thursday. Pam is recovering from hip replacement surgery last week, so we’re not sure whether she’ll have a blog post today. We’re all wishing you a quick recovery, Pam!
This is the photo that Pam and her boys provided us with for inspiration this week:
And here is my poem:
Looking Out
We three squirrels, two boys and a girl,
safe in our nest, looking out at the world.
It’s scary out there, we all agree;
we don’t venture far from this big, old tree.
There’s just one thing we urgently need:
your bird feeders are empty: have you more seed?
~These Days Of Mine~
LOL!!! I laughed out loud sitting at my desk at school! I thought – How Cute – and then thought about our bird feeders! Thanks for the humor to start my day. Praying that Pam recovers smoothly and quickly.
Typical squirrel thoughts — you know those critters so well. 😉
Your experience with squirrels and bird feeders can be seen in your poem today !
Perfect! Yep – they always want more seed – no such thing as too much of that. I’m sure Mom does her best to keep up with three hungry babies but I imagine they’d like a DAILY delivery from Amazon to keep the larder full!
Pam
Especially relevant in winter!!
Well sone!
Great picture and the poem goes perfectly with it!
Perfect, perfect, poem for this picture!!!!!
