Happy Thursday, and happy poetry day. Each week, we join Pam, Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats to share some poetry.
This photo is our inspiration this week:
And here is my poem:
Still Riding
There have always been horses in his life;
now should be no different, thought his wife.
So, for his birthday, he got a surprise,
and she saw the gleam return to his eyes.
They get lots of smiles as they ride down the street,
and they smile back at the folks they meet.
It’s true he can’t ride like he once did,
but who says you can’t be twice a kid?
~These Days Of Mine~
Love the last line–“who says you can’t twice be a kid?”
Words to live by as far as I am concerned!
Great job Dianna!
LOL!!! We should never stop being kids in our hearts, should we?
Great poem, as always.
I hope that’s what’s going on in this photo – the whip was a little confusing (!) but maybe she has hearing problems and he “signals” her with the whip (softly of course) when she needs to stop or go the other way?? Cute poem for the STRANGE photo!
Pam

I like what you did with this one …
& I wouldn’t be too worried about the whip – I’d imagine he knows better – it’s just for show !
Great poem !
Wonderful, sweet poem!!!! You did it again!!
