Although it would be too long, the title of today’s post should really be: “Summer Storm That Blew Around Us”.
Sunday, Motor Man and I had taken a day trip, and just a few minutes after we got home, it looked promising that we would be getting a storm, and hopefully, much needed rain.
I glanced out the window and noticed that sharp contrast we get when the sun is shining, but there are also dark clouds in other parts of the sky.
That contrast was really noticeable on the boats at the marina. And that wind was kicking up the waves.
I took this short video, because the weather seemed to be so threatening.
Although we never want storm damage, we were hoping for some rain. I suppose, as my mom used to say, “the wind got in that storm and tore it apart’. Our whole event lasted about five minutes. Other areas around us received the rain, but none for us.
Of course, everyone is watching for news about Ian. Right now, our forecast for the weekend is for 2-6 inches of rain, and slightly windy conditions. And we all know that is subject to change.
Our thoughts and prayers will be with those in the storm’s path.
