It’s Thursday again, so we’re sharing some poetry with Pam and her kitties, Teddy and Angel Sammy, at Two Spoiled Cats.
Here is the photo inspiration for this week:
And this is my poem:
Legs
What a thrill to be in a chorus line,
but not for me with these short legs of mine.
Vertically challenged, I always need help
to reach any item that’s on a top shelf.
I may have short legs, but here’s what I’ve found:
they’re long enough to reach the ground.
Short legs happened to be my fate,
but those chorus line girls just can’t relate.
~These Days Of Mine~
I thought this would be a fun photo and it turned out to be just that! Love your poem………for fun I looked up the physical requirements to be a Rockette: You must be between 5’6” and 5’10.5” tall. You must have long legs. The inseam of your pants should be no shorter than 32 inches. You must be able to kick your leg at least as high as your waist. The weight requirements are as follows: You should be in proportion to your height.
You should not be heavier than 140 pounds. Well I’m OUT on many of those!!!!
Pam
Cute!! Well done.
I was always curious about the Rocketts. How long do they stay Rocketts, their backgrounds and what do they do after.
Great treatment. I will have to do some research.
Love your finding the positive that your legs are long enough to reach the ground 🙂 I’ve always been amazed by the Rockettes. Loved the perspective you took.
Same here!
My huge disappointment in my younger dancing days is that I would never be tall enough to ever be a Rockett! I danced anyway!!
You use em to get around too, don’t you ?!
I am pretty sure I would not meet any of those requirements!! lol Love the poem.

Sorry Dianna. I do not know what is going with my laptop!!!!!!
A very beautiful apt photo for the poem, what if your legs are short, the fantastic thing is you can reach the floor very easily. Nice
