As we do every Thursday, we’re joining our friend, Pam, and her kitties, Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats for some poetry.
This is the photo for today’s inspiration:
Isn’t that gorgeous? This is a flower garden in Akaroa, Christchurch, New Zealand. It was created in 2013, by landscape designer, Ben Hoyle, and was donated to New Brighton, a suburb of Christchurch, which sustained heavy damage during a 2011 earthquake.
Here’s my poem:
Relax
A beautiful and tranquil spot;
is it fantasy or is it not?
Yes, it’s real, and it was a gift
for a town whose spirits needed a lift.
A flower garden, a unique design
with views from below the waterline.
The beauty, the peace is good for the soul,
and isn’t that always the artist’s goal?
~These Days Of Mine~
It really is a gorgeous REAL garden and I wish it was next door – I would be there a LOT! Good job on the poem!!!
Hugs, Pam
Sort of reminds me of the ‘conversation pit’ that was popular in the ’70s !
Well, it sure lifted my spirits today. What a beautiful creation – such an imagination.
