It’s the last Thursday in April, and we’re sharing poetry. Each week, our friend, Pam, and her kitties, Teddy and Angel Sammy host Poetic Thursday on their blog Two Spoiled Cats. They give us a photo the week before to use as our inspiration.
This is the photo for today:
And here’s my poem:
The Web
My favorite time, I’m up at dawn;
the sun is peeking, there’s dew on the lawn.
An intricate design, unmatched by man:
God’s little creatures have been “spinning” again.
I always give them plenty of space,
because the last thing I want is a web in my face.
~These Days Of Mine~
Now I’m not typically a ‘spider’ person, but I LOVE seeing their dew-covered web handiwork. It’s like lace. God gives us beautiful , varied art. Love your poem, because I don’t like to walk into them either.
Agreed! I enjoy seeing their webs but not walking into them!
Well done! And perfect timing as I have seen so many “works of art” crystalline webs all this week.
Thanks for taking up your poetry challenge-we have all enjoyed!
Very good ending !
HA! Cute – I love it!
