Poetic Thursday returns! And just in time for Halloween.
Our friend, Pam, is back from her well-deserved blogging break, and is once again hosting Poetic Thursday over at Two Spoiled Cats. This is the adorable photo she and her kitties, Teddy and Angel Sammy, gave us for this week’s inspiration:

And here’s my poem:
Boo!
In our mouths are trick or treat pails,
you can tell we’re happy by the wag of our tails.
We wish we could say ‘trick or treat’,
but that candy’s not good for us to eat.
We couldn’t wait to dress up as ghosts,
but, look at that door: a CAT for a host?
None of us can believe our eyes;
we’ve NEVER seen a cat that size!
Could be a costume, but we can’t tell.
Who’s brave enough to ring THAT bell?
So, what are your thoughts, our friends,
how do you think this mystery ends?
~These Days Of Mine~

Well now, maybe the little boy who has the cat costume on inside will open the door and give those pups a Halloween treat of some dog treats – THAT would be a happy ending! LOL
Fun poem……………….! Pam
My first thought was “Too Cute for Words” and then I read your poem!!! Purrfect!
A great holiday poem ! – my guess is that it’s really a dog in a cat costume !!
