Poetic Thursday: That Pesky AI

It’s time for poetry with our friend, Pam, and her kitties, Teddy and Angel Sammy, at Two Spoiled Cats.

This is the photo for our inspiration for today’s poetry:

And here’s my poem:

That Pesky AI

A day on the farm, we’ll play let’s pretend,
stick around to see how this one ends.

Sweet little girl on chubby legs,
scurrying through the barnyard, gathering eggs.

The hens run behind, yelling: “You’d better stop:
just look at all the eggs you’ve dropped!

Your mom’s gonna be mad as a wet hen
and tell you not to do that again.”

But mom just smiled and said with a wink:
“Things aren’t always what you think.

These days, you can’t believe your eyes,
since the invention of that pesky AI.”

  1. AI was my first thought, but oh what fun to even imagine – especially if your family raised chickens when you were a little girl and gathering eggs was a chore of yours.

  2. Cute poem for this one! I knew it was AI generated but it was adorable and that made it a good “inspiration” for poetry too. As an artist (in a former life) I appreciate creativity and AI certainly has a lot of capability to bring just about anything to life. “Real life” is certainly better but a little “artistic license” is fun too! Thanks for playing along with us.

  3. Great poem. I like the end.

  4. Yes! Again you gave us a clever poem and you don’t have to use AI to compose your fun poems!
