How Our Kitties Are “Surviving” Winter

You may have been wondering just how the Motor Kitties are doing.

Well, Gypsy continues to adore “her” Motor Man. I just wish she could relax a little. And, no, he wasn’t asleep, just taking a short break from making horsepower.

Sundae is very thankful to be an indoor kitty with a nice soft, cushy bed, which just happens to be placed directly over a heat vent.

And, as for Sibs, Marshall’s kitty, could she possibly BE any cuter if she tried? Speaking of warm, cushy spots: her favorite is on a sherpa throw.

When Marshall sent me the next picture, his text read: “Gonna email Kellogg’s…somethn rotten in this most recent box…”.

So that’s how our kitties are staying occupied during this cold, rainy weather.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if all kitties (and pups) could be safe and warm in loving homes?

Break Time

Hi, efurryone: Sundae here.

And Gypsy, too!

We’re interrupting our hard work rest time to let you know that Motor Mommy is taking a little break from blogging next week.

But, “These Days” will return the following Monday, so stay tuned!

Monday Morning Mews….Returns

Hi, efurryone….Gypsy here. You remember me….the shop kitty….the boss lady…the one in charge?

Well, I have to tell you that I think Motor Mommy’s blog has gotten pretty boring lately. There just hasn’t been enough about us kitties: Sundae and me. So we’ve  decided to bring back Monday Morning Mews, at least occasionally. Today, I’m sharing some pics of what I’ve been doing lately, just to liven things up a little around here.

First of all, you probably know that Motor Mommy is somewhat obsessed with giraffes (and horses). The other day, this very interesting box was delivered. I couldn’t wait to see what was inside, thinking that it surely should be something for me. But no…it was this silly-looking thing.  (And to add to the humiliation, Motor Mommy couldn’t even take a decent picture of me looking at it.)

And, then there’s this.  Speaking of humiliation:

Once in a while, I just have to be silly to entertain my pawrents.

But, as you know, everything I have to endure is worth it….for this: my favorite place in the world.

My step sis-fur, Sundae, will probably write a post soon, just to keep us kitties in the limelight around here.

More Sybil

You may recall previous posts about Marshall’s newest kitty, Sybil.  He has reason to believe that Sybil is daughter to his cat, Screamer, and that her dad brought her there to live with them.

Today, I’m sharing some recent pictures Marshall sent of that cutie.

To use a modern expression: “presh”.

Testing Dad’s patience?

You have to wonder what’s going on in this picture. Maybe Sybil wanted to pounce on Dad’s paw, but was thinking twice about it.

Sweet Sybil, purrhaps we need to learn a more ladylike resting position:

But whatever you find comfy.

Hope your weekend finds you as relaxed as Sybil.

Just Kitties

It’s been a while since any of the kitties have been featured here on These Days. And apparently, their little feelings have been hurt. So today, it’s all about the kitties:

One day last week, Motor Man had gotten home before I did. When I walked in, this was the cozy scene:

And Gypsy, enjoying a bag …

…as only a kitty can.

Marshall often shares pictures with me of his three kitties. He said he caught Chessie right in the middle of a good “scratching session”:

This is his kitty, Snugg, who obviously knows when his picture is being taken:

And Screamer, who is also a bit of a “ham”:

Hopefully, the kitties will be happy now with a little time in the spotlight. And I must say that I enjoy posting about them much more than…..(eek) snakes.

Monday Morning Mews: “That” Look

Happy Monday! Gypsy here with the mews.

Today, I just have a photo to share with you.  Motor Mommy snapped it one day last week. I was in “my spot” on Motor Man’s desk, and he was busy…I can’t recall if he was researching horsepower on his computer or on the phone talking with someone about horsepower or thinking about horsepower….but he wasn’t paying any attention to ME.

Now, you may wonder why Motor Mommy didn’t just rub my tummy. Well, that’s because HER time to rub my tummy is when she first arrives at the office. I won’t even let her walk, because I lie down on the floor right in front of her.  Then she usually stoops down to rub me, or sometimes she even sits down on the floor with me.

But, after that, it’s Motor Man’s attention that I’m seeking. And, on this particular day, at this moment, he had horsepower on his mind, not Gypsy.

So, I just had to give him “that” look, and he knew that I really, really, really needed a tummy rub.

Works every time. (wink, wink)

Photos By Marshall

For the most part, photos I take with my cell phone never really seem to be all that great. But, Marshall, on the other hand, takes some really nice pics with his phone.  He shares many of them with me by text.  So today, I thought I’d post some of his recent captures.

First, a rather patriotic planting.

Marshall’s kitty, Snugg.  You probably recall seeing pictures of him here in the past. He’s quite a ham and, apparently, a camera hog.

A new kitty has come to live with Marshall.  He’s quite a talker, so his name is officially “Screamer”. But, as those of you with pets know, we can turn a name around to be something quite different. “Screamer” became “Screamer, Deemer”, and now he’s just “Deems”. He, like Snugg, seems to know when his picture is being taken.

And finally, Marshall caught this shot of Snugg and his sisfur, Chessie (aka “Chesmire”) on the deck. Apparently, Chessie had just finished up a treat. And according to Snugg’s expression, it was HIS treat.

Thanks for sending these, Marshall, and allowing me to share them with my readers.
