Monday Morning Mews

Good morning!  This is Gypsy, and I’m bringing you the mews today.

As you may know, I am a shop kitty.  Well, actually,  I am an office kitty AT my pawrents’ shop.  I’m not allowed IN the shop: too many dangers for a kitty there.

Not long after I adopted my pawrents four years ago, Motor Mommy bought me a kitty bed.  And she’s made sure that I have had one ever since.  Several months ago, she bought me a brand new pretty blue one.

Which I promptly ignored.

Weeks passed, months passed.  And I refused to even LOOK at that bed, even though it was exactly like my old one- other than the color.

But Mommy knows how kitties are,  so she wasn’t too upset. After all, I still had a bed. It just looked a little……loved.  In the past couple of weeks, though, I stopped sleeping in my old bed, and instead, began sleeping on a pair of Motor Man’s work jeans that were lying on a desk.

My pawrents knew that couldn’t be very comfy for me, so Mommy moved the new blue kitty bed to the desk beside the jeans.

And, wouldn’t you just know it?

I discovered that I LOVE my blue bed!

  1. You know Gypsy, you need to take special care of your very loyal servants (I mean Pawrents). I’m sure you do, but they need to feel wanted and appreciated just as much as you do!!

  2. Moms are pretty darn smart…….kinda scary that they can THINK like us and realize what we “need”……mission accomplished – the blue bed is now acceptable!

  3. I guess you just needed it in the right spot.

  4. That was a good idea 🙂 You look very comfy.

  5. Sometimes we just need a little persuading, Gypsy, and some patience from Motor Mommy. 🙂

  6. It must’ve needed to age a little first!

Well, sometimes it just takes time to break a new bed in, right Gypsy. Enjoy!!
