Last Saturday, my friend, Donna, came to town to attend the Olden Days Festival with me. (For those of you new to the blog, Donna and I were classmates in school. She moved out of the area after high school, and we lost touch for several many years. We reconnect through a mutual friend….and Facebook.
If you’ve been a follower of this blog for any length of time, you may recall some of our antics in the past. Donna celebrates EVERY occasion and holiday to the fullest.
We’ve worn bunny ears near Easter, witch’s hats at Halloween, masks at Mardi Gras, Santa hats at Christmas. So when she arrived Saturday morning, she came bearing….. patriotic “top hats” for July 4. We celebrated just a few days early.
One of our favorite booths at our local Farmers Market is operated by two ladies (twins). We learned a few weeks ago that Saturday was their birthday. Donna brought cards, and I brought balloons.
It was so much fun to surprise them.
Of course, Donna had a top hat for Motor Man, too. And naturally, he had more fun with his than we did with ours.
That’s a little better, MM.
But seriously, Happy Fourth, everyone.

Loved this celebratory, patriotic post!! You were right, it was joy to celebrate our favorite jewelry craftsmen with their surprise birthday greetings. They were moved, which in return moved us. Love a surprise! Juniors pic was awesome. Now, what is the next holiday we can celebrate?!😊 Have a wonderful Fourth!

Love this so so much! You two/three have way too much fun ALL the time!! The tiny “top hats” are hilarious and your shirts are great too! Tim and used to ride a tandem together – so the cycle shirt caught my eye right away.

You and Donna have such fun together, I love it! What a sweet surprise for the twins. Chuck and I just got back from Smithfield, we had a Horne Family Reunion at Trinity UM Church So glad to see family we don’t see often. Happy 4th to all.
