Thankful

Squeezed in between Halloween and the full-out Christmas season is  Thanksgiving.

There are several memes right now on Facebook relating to being thankful. Some remind us to pay a kindness forward, others challenge us to post that for which we’re thankful, still others give us a different task to perform daily to help us remember to be grateful.

And they’re all good reminders.

Growing up in church taught me to be thankful with every prayer I pray. I know I fall short of thanking the Lord for all the many blessings He provides for me.

But I do try.

One of the things I’m most thankful for every day is my family.

On this Thanksgiving eve, I thought I’d invite you, my readers, to comment on this post and share one blessing (or more) that you’re thankful for in your life.

  1. Just one blessing? I have so many…..but my biggest one actually is that I am still ALIVE – scary health things tried to get me but I am alive and loving life. I’m VERY thankful…………

    Hugs, Pam

  2. Good morning.
Like you, family is one of my most Thankfuls Getting ready to peel ALOT of potatoes for ‘Donna’s Famous Mashed Potatoes ” as Thanksgiving at my house.
But, one of my most thankfuls is the day my cousin Linda got in touch, and said how would u like to have lunch with one of your old classmates? And a beautiful Dianna entered my life. I value your friendship, and love every adventure we have. Love you and Happy Thanksgiving!

  7. I am thankful for Family and Friends like you who share happy thoughts and make my life more enjoyable. I hope I can reciprocate.

  8. Thankful the snow storm wasn’t worse and that people are helping each other here. It always amazes me how someone can just step in and do something kind for someone who may not have the ability, someone they may not even know. I’m thankful for my older sister, younger brother, that they at least are living close by one another and can help each other out with even the little things. Thankful for my silly, sweet chiweenie, who has opened my heart to dogs. ❤

  9. I truly feel so blessed. God is AMAZING to me every single day. He has blessed me with a pretty terrific husband, daughters, the best grandchildren, a truly amazing Mom (so was Dad), and friends who love me in spite of my ‘quirks’ and are living life with me in such supportive ways. Most of all He has loved me.
