Windowpane Wednesday: Flutterby

Recently, I caught sight of a swallowtail, enjoying the verbena in one of my hanging baskets.

The verbena shares that pot with some euphorbia (Diamond Frost), both of them deer-proof, thankfully. I haven’t been diligent about keeping that plant watered, so it isn’t as pretty as it was earlier in the season.

I guess its beautiful visitor still found it to be satisfactory.
