Poetic Thursday: First Kiss

Another Thursday, another poem with Pam and her boys at Two Spoiled Cats.

This cute photo from 1898 was our inspiration for this week’s poetry:

Here’s my poem:

First Kiss

They were too young to remember their first kiss,
but it probably went something like this.

Childhood friends, and then their love grew.
And the day finally came when they said “I do”.

Together for years now with such a sweet start;
way back then, she gave him her heart.

This picture and poem certainly don’t apply to the story of Motor Man and me. We were adults when we met.

And this certainly wasn’t OUR first kiss.

Catalina, 2012

But, a kiss is a kiss, right?

  1. Sweet poem……! You and I had to wait a bunch of years for our guys to give us “that” kiss…..well worth the wait.

  2. Aw, so sweet. It reminds me of that old song, “As Time Goes By”…you must remember this, a kiss is still a kiss…

  3. That’s all it takes sometimes !!

    Our first kiss may not have been with our loves but they are no less the sweetest. Love the sweet sweet poem.

  5. Both kisses are so-o-o-o sweet!
