Windowpane Wednesday: Summer Sunrise

These sunrise photos were taken back in August, during what was obviously a very humid spell here in southeast Virginia.

As autumn approaches, the sun rises further to the south, so our view of the sunrise isn’t as nice as it is during the summer.

Dawn happens earlier, and we have a nice view of the sun: good reasons to get up early in the summer.

I don’t miss the heat and humidity when summer is gone, but I do miss those early sunrises.

  2. Beautiful! And the sun was huge, red, and just cresting the tree line as I came in to work this morning.

  3. Your sunrises are spectacular. I always love to see the sunrises you share. But fall is here and now we have to adjust, right?

  4. I’m not fond of summer because of the heat and humidity, but I do miss all those early morning sunrises – it’s not fun getting up when it’s still dark.

    Beautiful as always.
