Windowpane Wednesday: Out In The Country

This week’s Windowpane Wednesday is a bit different.  Actually, it should be titled “Windshield Wednesday”.

I was on an errand out in the country yesterday and came upon this scene. I was able to safely pull over to take a picture with my cell phone. Although it’s a bit difficult to tell, that’s cotton ready for harvest.

Yes, if I had our ‘real’ camera, the picture would have been clearer. And I could have stepped out of my vehicle to get a better photo, but then, it wouldn’t be a ‘Windowpane Wednesday’ option.

Some of the cotton in our area has already been picked, but some farmers are have to wait for the fields to dry from the heavy rain we had last Thursday.

  1. Actually the photo looks great – like an artsy filter has been applied – especially to the cotton field. Anyway, neat to see all that cotton ready for harvest.

  2. BEAUTIFUL. I LOVE our fields this time of the year. Makes me think of the Bible verse – Luke 10:2 which says, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.”

  3. I like it …. looks like something Bob Ross could’ve painted – probably because of the tree on the left – which would be the final thing he’d add ; )

A picture post card for sure.

  5. Still a neat photo even if you didn’t use your “real” camera. 😉
