You may remember my previous posts about ‘our’ Mama Duck with her eight ducklings.
The first time we saw them, there were nine, but within a day or so, Mama had lost one. This photo is from July 10.
This weekend, I took this short video of the (noisy) eight arriving in our garage for lunch.
Just in the last week, they’ve started venturing a little further away from Mom and will chase away the other ducks for corn.
It’s true: children grow up so quickly.
~These Days Of Mine~
Absolutely love these babies.
Very happy so many surviving!
I know it’s been a lot of fun watching Mom and her kids enjoying their corn buffet there……counting “noses” (beaks?) and seeing them grow. Thanks for sharing !
Pam
aw, it’s fun seeing how they’re getting along –
what I see here from the ducklings is Trust x 8
what I see here from mama is Trust x 1,000,000,000 …..
What fun! And you are ever so kind to feed those “babies.” It will be interesting to see how many of them stick around when they’re older.
Mama duck knows how babies are safe with you! Love the video.
And just look at that proud Mama watching over her young ones!!! Thanks for such a cute video.
