Windowpane Wednesday: Lookin’ Out My Back Door

Actually, it’s looking out our side door, but that just doesn’t have the same ‘ring’.

One day last week, I happened to look out of the window to our garage door and saw this little one and Mom. The late afternoon sun cast a ‘golden glow’ on them, especially those HUGE ears.

And then I caught this picture of the baby and some feathered friends through the garage window:

Just another day at the ‘wildlife refuge’.

  1. They look pinkish vs. golden but they look GORGEOUS no matter what color they are! I walked out the front door yesterday and a small doe and a fawn were standing in my front stone garden. They looked up like “uhoh – we’re in trouble” but they weren’t!

  2. Your wildlife refuge is similar to ours, except for the water fowl since we aren’t near a lake, pond, or river, but one day Mr. & Mrs. Goose and their three goslings came strolling through our yard and I still haven’t figured out where they came from.

  5. Yup! – Looking like Wild Kingdom out there !

  6. Beautiful in the glow that you caught. I saw three of those beauties beside the road as I came into work this morning. They were having breakfast. Wonderful pictures with the ducks and deer.
