Windowpane Wednesday: Chomp, Chomp

We never know what we’ll see when we glance out of our windows.

In an (unsuccessful) effort to distract the squirrels away from the bird feeders, we occasionally put out ears of corn for them. And apparently, the deer find even the bare cobs interesting.

This video was filmed through our kitchen window, so it looks a bit washed out, but I thought it was worth sharing. (Video has no sound.)

  1. Great shot…..we used to get bags of ears of corn for the deer – they sure eat it up! Seeing more wildlife this year than ever before – it’s tough keeping up with everyone in the food department!

  2. Oh, I thought that deer was going to make a leap at your bird feeder. This is wonderful – I’ve never seen deer eat corn off the ear and enjoy the cob. AWESOME!!!

  3. It’s like she’s saying, “Just checking to see if there’s any left for me!” Really cute.

  4. Too funny! With the 2nd cob it looks like the deer has a cigar in it’s mouth!

  5. Maybe there’s a little something left on there for them to get ? or maybe it’s like chewing gum for them ? something to do with their mouth when they’re not eating !!

  6. Very endearing. Oops. I mean “endeering” ! Best, Babsje
