Once again, I’m participating in Poetic Thursday with Pam and her kitties at Two Spoiled Cats.
This is our photo inspiration for this week’s poetry:
And here is my poem:
On Main Street
Dressed to the nines for the classic car meet,
each second Saturday, down on Main Street.
Guys and gals gather to show off their rides;
pretty and polished, parked side by side.
He plays the role that matches his car:
a bonafide ‘wanna be’ movie star.
A sinister look: playing that part,
but he’s really just a car lover at heart.
~These Days Of Mine~
Looks a little like our Main Street. He is definitely in the ‘role’. Cute! Doesn’t the picture make you wonder what that cars have ‘seen’?
I’d like to think this guy isn’t as mean as he looks! Thanks for participating in our poetic Thursday fun.
Pam
slick poem to go with the slick pic !
he definitely matches the gangster look of the car – all he needs is the
tommy gun ..
I agree with Marshall very slick. Keep amazing us, my friend.
How do you do it? You always come up with a perfect poem to match the photo. Well done! And yes, he looks as slick as his car.
