After a break last week, we’re back for Poetic Thursday with Pam, Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats.
It seems like forever since I’ve shared a poem.
Here is this week’s photo inspiration:
And this is my poem:
Mommy Of Six
She’s got it together, what more can you say?
Six little ones dressed and on their way.
Barkley, the dog, keeps an eye on them all:
he’s their protector, always on call.
Mom doesn’t look frazzled, nor ready to snap,
but she’ll enjoy the rest when they all take a nap.
Laughter and tears: it’s all in the mix;
but she’s proud and happy to be Mommy of six*.
(* Poetic license: although you don’t see the sixth child, I’m going with the assumption that there are six.)
~These Days Of Mine~
No doubt she will be happy to have these little ones back home and in their cribs for snooze time although SOME of them seem to be having that now! I thought this would be a fun photo for poems and it sure is so far! Thanks for playing along with us.
Hugs, Pam and Teddy too
Cute! Can you imagine having six? Whew!
I kept thinking how could she handle a dog with 6 kids! At least she had comfortable shoes!
Great poem and interesting subject.
Oh My Goodness! I’m tired just looking at the picture. And to think they even make a stroller for six! Great poem fun!
I can’t even imagine looking so composed with six babies AND a dog. That mom is a super mom and your poem was perfect.
Very nice ! – this looks like the type of stroller that’s brought in the shop sometimes… & trust me … there’s definitely a sixth child in there : ) – & “Barkley” the dog – perfect …
Perfect poem for this cute picture!!
