It’s Tradition

My faithful readers knew it was coming: my annual Halloween post.

Most of you know how special historic Bacons Castle is to me. If, by chance, you’re new to the blog, you can click on this link for some background information.

This is an old family photo of the Castle, taken when my mom and her family lived there in the 1930’s-1940’s.

In 2007, when my son, Marshall,  was a tour guide at Bacon’s Castle, our local PBS station filmed a segment there for their “Halloween Haunts” series.  It aired just before Halloween and featured a few historic properties, believed to be haunted, in our area.

On the day of filming at the Castle, Marshall was asked to be one of the actors in that segment. So, proud Mom that I am, when late October rolls around, I re-watch the video, and share it here on the blog:

Marshall was very honored to take part in this presentation, and I’m glad he had that experience.

  6. I haven’t been able to watch this for a few years b/c my older computer video player had stopped working; I have a new laptop since the last time you posted this and enjoyed watching the video again. So neat. Handsome young man as well ~~ Happy Halloween!
