Welcome to the first Poetic Thursday of August. As usual, we’re joining Pam, Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats for some poetry.
This is the fun photo they gave us last week for today’s poetic inspiration:
And here’s my poem:
No Regrets
‘Senior’ is our age, and gray is our hair,
but neither one of us really cares.
These days we deal with sagging skin;
but now, we just bare it and grin.
Wrinkles only mean that we smiled,
and found the joy in every mile.
We’re living proof that “top-down fun”
isn’t reserved for just the young.
We’ll follow this road until the sun sets,
and end the day with no regrets.
~These Days Of Mine~
Well done! David and I feel this way now that we’re “a certain age”…..no regrets – just enjoy life as much as we are able to.
Pam
I claim the sentiment of that poem too! Now I need to go shopping for that convertible:)
Perfect! And my hubby and I identify as well!
I love this and can so identify !!
; ) … I wonder where they’re headed today ??
Chuck and I can surely identify too! I love the fun in your poem.
