It’s Poetic Thursday again. This is the photo that our friend, Pam and her ginger kitties, Teddy and Angel Sammy, at Two Spoiled Cats gave us this week for our inspiration:
And here’s my poem:
Sleep Study
I studied all day for that big test,
then needed a spot to get some rest.
This empty shelf seemed to work just fine,
I was sure the librarian wouldn’t mind.
But at the end of the day, she went home;
I woke up from my nap and was all alone.
The joke’s on me, and now I’m locked in.
Guess I’ll just start studying again.
~These Days Of Mine~
HAHA…….great ending! I wonder how often something like this ACTUALLY happens….maybe more than we think!
Pam
LOVE it!!! As a Librarian, I’d love to get locked in and be able to read with no interruptions. Of all the things I’ve seen in the Library, that is not one!
The librarian might’ve locked herself in, too – she’s a few rows over on another empty shelf !
He could not have picked a quieter place.
LOL! Your poem says it all and it’s perfect!
Your poem is terrific. Everyone had a little different take on this photo. That young man certainly doesn’t look comfy! XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, angel Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer, Kizmet, Audrey & Raleigh
