Windowpane Wednesday: Uncaged

Back in the spring, I purchased a bird cage to use as a bluebird feeder.  Motor Man retrofitted it by creating a small hole in which the bluebirds and wrens could enter, but larger birds, such as starlings, couldn’t.

A few days ago, I noticed a hummingbird in the area of the bird cage and caught it in flight.

I don’t think there’s anything in there for you to eat, little Hummie.

But we’re glad you stopped to visit.

Feel free to rest your little wings as long as you like.

The hummingbird looks very comfortable on the birdcage even without food.
