Poetic Thursday: Homeward Bound

We’re back in the swing of things with poetry today.  Our host, Pam, who blogs at Two Spoiled Cats,  is all refreshed after a few days’ vacation last week.

This is the cute photo inspiration for our poems today:

And here’s my poem:

 Homeward Bound

This dapper little guy
caught my eye

with Pig, his pet,
right around sunset.

“Where are you bound?”
“Leaving town.”

“Are you running away?”
“I’d rather not say.”

“May want to think twice;
home’s kinda nice.”

“Yeah, Mom, that’s true.
I’d sure miss you.”

“Come, take my hand,
let’s go home, little man.”
