Poetic Thursday: Her Softer Side

Thursdays mean poetry here on the blog. We love joining Pam and her kitties, Teddy and Angel Sammy, at Two Spoiled Cats for Poetic Thursday.

They gave us this poem for today’s inspiration:

And here’s my poem:

Her Softer Side

“I don’t always lift weights, but when I do,
I like to wear these high heel shoes.”

No one should ever say that it’s wrong
for a woman to show that she can be strong.

She’ll lift those weights, then turn the tide,
and charm you with her softer side.

She’s a complex being, there’s no doubt,
so don’t even try to figure her out.

  1. Good poem! Amazed at the heels!

  2. That’s great. Women are a mystery, which is part of their appeal.

  3. Good job! I was amazed how many photos I found online of women lifting weights wearing heels. It was a fun one for poetry!
