Today’s post is in memory of Gordon Lightfoot, the Canadian born singer/songwriter who gave us so many memorable songs in the 1970’s. Gordon passed away this week at the age of 84.
The “Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald” may be his most famous, but there was also “If You Could Read My Mind”.
My favorite of his songs was “Sundown”, which was released in 1974.

Thank you for the reminder. So many good songs written in the 70s. And that shows how old I am.
Perfect picture for that song. Great songs. Your reminder now has me singing them in my head…………..
I just loved his voice…..”Sundown” and “If You Could Read My Mind” were my favorites. Rest In Piece Gordon – you sure gave us some wonderful music.
