The stars of today’s post are a few of the Mallards that frequent our yard daily.
This picture was taken from our kitchen window. I glanced out and spotted this ‘girlie’ standing on an old wooden bench in the flowerbed. She had flown over the fence we have surrounding the bed. I think she was trying to get my attention to let me know that her breakfast was late.
This isn’t actually a windowpane photo: I took it through the rear-view mirror of my car. I had circled the driveway as I was leaving and spotted these two on our front porch.
I didn’t go back to give them corn at the time. And although they weren’t waiting on the front porch when I got home, they hadn’t gone far.

Your place is known as “Duck Central”…..they know a kind lady when they see her!
