Finding Fences For Friday

One day last week, Motor Man had a check-up with the eye doctor. Since his eyes were dilated, I drove home. We took the “back roads” and just happened to find the perfect shots for today’s Friday’s Fences.

Another view, showing the slightly rolling landscape.

But this is my favorite. Because we had turned around to go in the opposite direction, the horses were on Motor Man’s side of the vehicle. He took this picture. I love that his hands are reflected in the rear-view.

Linking up to Friday’s Fences.

  1. What a beautiful fence! I love the horses, and the shot that MM took is neat! I love how they are so willing to help us! And, “back roads”? As I remember, you have a lot more back roads than “front roads”! I am SO jealous! I have to travel a little just to get to some back roads!

  2. When we take those ‘back roads’, don’t we usually find something we weren’t expecting? Great picture Motor Man took, considering he was probably half blind from his eyes being dilated!!

  3. Rolling is right…our Gulf Coast landscape is so very flat. Things don’t start rolling until we get past Brenham on the road to Austin.

  4. Beautiful pictures with the fences and horses! I love what June said about Motor Man’s ability to be even able take a picture! Maybe, just maybe, having your eyes dilated makes a person an even better photographer??!!

  5. great views. i love the last shot. a picture within a picture … within another picture. so cool. (:

  6. Fences with horses! Can’t go wrong there! Pretty captures Dianna and Motor Man done good~what a nice view of the pretty fenceline with that beautiful green cedar(?) I see the other tree is nekid 🙂

  7. I like the fact that you guys switched “jobs” and his hands in the side mirror prove it. You guys are a good team.

  8. Thanks for these wonderful pictures to wake up to! I have been reading a book about horses and watched a movie last night (“Buck”) about a wonderful real life horse whisperer. It’s made me miss my little mare Lizzy so much that we lost a few years ago. I miss just being around horses but haven’t been able to make myself go back to the barn. Maybe it’s time to go out to the barn for some horse lovin…even if it’s not mine. So these pictures seem like another little nudge to go and be with the horses again. Thanks.

  20. These are nice shots, beautiful scenery. The side-view mirror almost gives the illusion of an artist’s self portrait.
