(Before I get to my Friday’s Fences post, I wanted to let you know that I’m planning to take the weekends “off” from blogging for awhile. But who knows? I’ve planned to do that before and changed my mind. Stay tuned….)
You may recall my post from a couple weeks ago about Aggie, the white horse that we see on our trips to and from the Outer Banks. At the end of that post, I promised that we’d have treats for her the next time we passed by her pasture.
Last week, before we left to run an errand in the Outer Banks, I made sure we had “Aggie treats”. When we came to her pasture, Motor Man slowed down. As soon as we pulled off the highway, she came walking over to the fence.
She was pleased that I did, indeed, come bearing treats. (Yes, those are the wild horses of the Outer Banks on that billboard in the background. It is in reference to a proposed bridge to connect the mainland of North Carolina to the area of the beach near the horses. )
“Mmmm. Yummy. Please. Stop by anytime.”
When I was a little girl, and all my friends were horse-crazy, I didn’t see what all the fuss was about. Yes, I admit it, I’m a late-blooming horse lover.
Linking up to Friday’s Fences.
