As promised, today I’m sharing photos of our new friends’, Travis and Tabatha’s barn.
The folk art square is a work in progress. It’s made from the original barn door, and Tabatha is deciding what image to paint in the center.
They believe the original side of the barn, which is used for hay storage, is over two hundred years old.
There are four horse stalls in the newer section.
Did you happen to notice in the first picture that the barn is built on a hill? This is the “upper side”, where you can actually drive into the barn.
Charlie showed us the way.
Linking up to Barn Charm.

That’s the epitome of the “charm of the barn”…….has loads of character and still functioning as it has for years and years. Lovely!

Wow it’s beautiful and it’s lovely to see an old barn still in use 🙂 xx00xx

Yes, very charming! And it’s loved and being taken care of.. 🙂
It’s great to see an older barn still being used and added to. You’ll have to show us a picture after Tabitha finishes the art square.
I love seeing the inside of the barn as well as the outside. I also think you should show us a photo after the square has been completely painted!
I think this one wins the prize for Barn Charm!
such a great place!
What a cool barn! I would have loved to play in that when I was a little girl. How lucky is she. Horses and all!
The photo featuring the “upper side” of the barn is a great one ! The kind of pic just waiting to become a painting .. with a Friesian in the foreground, maybe ?!
Great construction on the old part of that barn 😉
That barn must have a lot of history old and now new. So nice and peaceful.
Beautiful country there. Is it in Virginia?
Nice barn, Dianna! Charlie is a cutie.
Great barn! I like the folk art square–if you hadn’t told me that it was a work in progress, I would have thought it was complete. 🙂
I did notice it was build on the side of the hill…and I love getting to see the inside.
Great barn! I love the quilt and it’s always a treat to see the inside.
Well, that’s an interesting combination of old and new…must say, I prefer the old side, but that probably isn’t practical if the barn is really 200+ years. ~ Sheila
I like how they are recycling part of the barn back on the barn.
