Three Years And Counting

Three years ago today, I published my first post here on These Days.

I couldn’t have known at that time that starting a blog could create so many friendships.   My blogging buddies brighten my days with their comments here, and entertain and encourage me with their posts. A few of us have met in person, and there are others that, hopefully, I’ll be fortunate enough to meet in the future.

Motor Man still teases me about the days just prior to my first post “going live”.  (Let’s just say that I struggled with some technical difficulties.)  He said that he fully expected our computer to go flying through a window at any given moment.

Thanks for stopping by each day to see what’s happening here. You’ve been subjected to countless photos of sunrises, sunsets, kitties, swans, horses, fences, barns and family members. And thankfully, you keep returning for more!

My father-in-law will be laid to rest today in a service with full military honors. Your heartfelt comments on yesterday’s post, as well as your thoughts and prayers for our family, are so very much appreciated.

  1. It always surprises us how long whee have all been blogging for. Sometimes it feels like whee just started though whee can’t imagine not knowing you all either.

That’s the magic of the blogosphere.

Whee are all thinking of you at this sad time and sending you all cuddles of comfort

  2. Dearest Dianna…..I’ll be thinking of you all today as you say farewell for the last time to “Pop”….and while celebrating your blogaversary is bittersweet for that reason, just know that your blog posts brighten our days and are appreciated for their beauty and creativity. I look forward to seeing the world through your camera lens and hearing about your adventures and most of all getting to see you and Motor Man from time to time. My heart is with you today of all days.

    Hugs, Pam

  3. Thinking of you all today and especially MM’s dear Mother. How sad she must be.

I’m glad you joined the blogosphere 3 years ago and that our virtual paths crossed; I’ve enjoyed the steady stream of family, kitties, thoughts and photos and I hope you bring us more.

But for now, take your time, take it easy today and celebrate a life well lived.

  4. Congratulations Dianne! I have enjoyed your photographs and stories. See you in a few hours.

  5. Take care today and this weekend. My thoughts will be with MM”s mother, MM, you and your family.

I never knew three years ago when I started this blogging journey over Labor Day weekend of 2010, I would eventually meet a blogger as gracious as you. See all those awards to the right? Many of them you shared with me and through them, I met more wonderful folks. Thank you for being such a kind mentor.

  6. Thinking of you and Junior today.

  7. Dianna congratulations on your blogging Anniversary. I look forward to your post each day. I love the horses, kitties, family stories, and posts that make me thinkof some of my special memories. I will be thinking of you and Motor Man and all the family today. Sending you thoughts of comfort.

  8. I truly look forward to your posts, i’ve even gone back as far as I could to get myself caught up LOL. I use them as my time out during the day, I put life on pause for a few minutes and sit down whether I’m at home or in the carpool lane at school, to read them. You make me smile, giggle, think and occasionally get teary-eyed. Each photograph is just absolutely beautiful, and you can see the love and joy behind them. Welcome home, Pop. You will be terribly missed by those that knew and loved you, however, they’re all the better because they did love and know you❤️
