The Simplest Blessings
At first look, you might say
this certainly must be ‘laundry day’.
Blankets and towels, shirts and pants,
but go back and take a second glance.
It’s hard to imagine an open-air closet;
your clothes exposed to wind, rain and grit.
Dry clothes to wear: a reminder today
of the simplest blessings sent our way.
