Poetic Thursday: The Garden

As I do every week, I’m participating in Poetic Thursday,  a blog meme hosted by Pam and her kitty boys over at Two Spoiled Cats.

This is the beautiful photo they provided for this week’s poetry inspiration.

And here is my poem:

The Garden

It’s an honor to love this stately old home
and its beautiful gardens in which to roam.

Come to the rose garden and sit with me.
We’ll enjoy the flowers, and I’ll pour us some tea.

We’ll find a spot to savor the breeze
among the butterflies and bees.

Man tends the soil, but that’s just the start,
then God steps in and does His part.

Time passes quickly, and soon the day ends.
Come back soon for another visit, my friend.

  5. I just watched a Hallmark movie the other night. An adorable little girl had a tea party in a beautiful garden much like this. Her guests were a motley crew of stuffies. So cute.
Lovely poem for this beautiful cottage.
Hugs and thank you for visiting

  6. I can see why the photo and your awesome poem remind you of that special place called Bacon’s Castle!
