It’s Thursday again, so let’s have a little fun with some poetry. As usual, I’m joining Pam and her ginger boys at Two Spoiled Cats for Poetic Thursday.
This is the photo we were given as inspiration for this week’s poem.
Amazing, wouldn’t you say?
Here’s my poem:
THE Limo
Do you have somewhere special you need to go?
Then, perhaps you can rent this stretch limo.
“Stretch” being the operative word
for the longest vehicle in the world.
If you own a ‘copter’, then you’ll be glad
that this comes with its very own helipad.
A total of 26 wheels on the ground,
more than enough to get you ’round town.
Your friends will be jealous, so you should be cool,
and invite them to come for a dip in the pool.
And if the horsepower’s down, and you don’t know why,
well, let me just say that I know a guy…
(The last lines were added after Motor Man said he would build an engine for it. Can you imagine THIS on a race track?)

~These Days Of Mine~
My first thought – “You’ve got to be kidding!!!” I loved your poem-and that you know a guy. Can’t imagine the horsepower required. I did follow your link to learn about it – interesting!
Extremely well done, and clever!!
Hard to imagine driving something like a city block on wheels!
We just KNEW when we saw that photo that it HAD to be this week’s photo poem challenge. So many fun poems written for this one! I just bet your motor man would like to tackle an engine for this thing – bet it would be a whopper!
Hugs, Pam
That photo is just crazy! But your poem is clever. I laughed at your line ‘I know a guy.’
Awesome verses! can you imagine what a racetrack for a vehicle like that would look like ?! & then get a bunch of them out there for a race ?!
Wow, what a car!!! Your poem did the car justice. Good job.
