No, not mine!
We’ve really been enjoying the hummingbirds that visit our feeders. Saturday morning, I had the closest encounter ever with one of those sweet little ones. I was standing near one of the feeders, looking at some orphan zinnias I’d recently adopted from Lowe’s and planted. Then I heard the sound of tiny wings, and looked up to see a hummingbird less than three feet from me. No camera or phone to capture the moment, but it’s one I’ll remember.
Later, as we were having a gentle rain shower, I saw this one on the bluebird feeder.
I was able to get this video of him enjoying the rain. I’ve learned from my friend, Donna (a self-proclaimed ‘bird nerd’), that hummingbirds DO love a rainy day.
There’s no sound to this video, but if you use your imagination, you can almost hear that little one singing in the rain.
