A Nip in The Tailfeathers

A couple of months ago, I bought a photo mat at a craft show. Along the inside edge of the mat, this is beautifully written in calligraphy:

It doesn’t matter where you go, or what you have, it’s who you have beside you.”

I thought it would really be nice to put a picture of the bride and groom swans in that mat and frame it.  Last week, the swans came by for a visit (and some bread).  I juggled taking pictures and tossing bread to them.

When I downloaded the pictures to my computer, I decided this one would be perfect for my mat and frame.

I’ve said before that we don’t know the relationship of these swans. We prefer to think of them as a twosome, an “item”, soul-mates. You get the idea.  And, as it is with any couple, they most likely have their little spats.

I just happened to catch this one taking place.

Hmmm….. “who you have beside you“….. I don’t think bride swan was too happy with the one beside her at this exact moment.

  1. Males….you can’t live with them and you can’t live without them!

  2. OOPS! We’re just assuming the white is the “bride” and the black is the “groom”….we really don’t know, do we??

  3. Good commentary and pictures. Glad they are back together.

  4. Think about it Diane…they never have any kids, they show up at all hours and expect to be fed and if they were a couple they wouldn’t get away with a bite on the butt! They’re a couple of guys! Seriously…they really are. And they ran…I mean swam away from home! They’re on the run…swim…swum?

  5. Classic shot! Great timing Diane!
