A few months ago, I wrote about “synchronicity”. If you aren’t familiar with the word, here’s the definition:
….an apparently meaningful coincidence in time of two or more similar or identical events
Motor Man and I experienced a synchronicity a couple of weeks ago. We were out of town and had stopped at an Applebee’s for dinner.
Hanging on the wall beside the table where the hostess seated us was a picture of a Small Block Chevrolet Engine. My in-house engine expert tells me that this is a highly modified race engine.
It was almost impossible to get a good photo with all the lights and reflections. But at the top of the picture are the words “American Heavy Metal”.
And I had to wonder: what are the chances of Motor Man going into a restaurant and being seated beside a framed picture of a race engine?
Synchronicity indeed.

What are the chances? Love hearing about these moments.
PS I’m up very early having my coffee w/ you all at Applebee’s…going out of town soon. 🙂
Love it…coincidences and synchronicity do happen!
that’s cool. 🙂
What a neat coincidence! I love eating at an Applebee’s and their decor is always so interesting.
I love it when coincidence’s like this occur. It’s fate I tell ya!
They really are everywhere! Cool picture, too!
The hostess just saw that he’s a Motor Man — they have that look in their eyes….
And it certainly does make the perfect background for a picture of Motor Man.
fate is everywhere!!! my husband always leaves for the bathroom when i take the camera out in restaurants!!!
Sweet.. Jr, was that a Ford?
Wonderful coincidence! It’s always fun to find stuff that you know about or recognize in restaurants that line their walls and ceiling with stuff.
How great was that!!
