Rescue, Virginia is a little waterfront village just two or three miles from us. Other than homes, Rescue consists of a post office, a marina, two churches, a restaurant (Captain Chuckamucks, which has been featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives) and a bridge, which crosses Jones Creek.
Friday evening, Motor Man and I were returning from a graduation party and happened to be driving through Rescue at the time of sunset. I’ve always wanted to stop to get photos from the bridge, and this seemed like a good time.
“Chuckamucks” is on the water, just to the right in these photos, and our house is “around the bend” to the left.
The golden light of sunset, no oncoming vehicles, and a hubby willing to stop, came together for the perfect opportunity for this week’s Sunset Sunday photos.
