Barn Charm – With A Friend

Last week, I picked up a friend at her workplace, and we drove to a nearby town to meet another friend for lunch. Our trip involved some country roads that I’d never traveled before.

And along the way, I found a barn.

And my friend clued me in to this barn just across the highway. It was well off the road, and I wouldn’t have know it was there if she hadn’t told me.

Thank you for being a friend; traveled down the road and back again…

  1. These are wonderful barns. Such an added bonus to find them with a friend!

  2. really love the 1st barn. great views. (:

  3. Rick always takes the back roads to the farm. When my mother comes along she is amazed we know our way. Traveling the back roads is quieter and definitely more scenic.

  4. Barns. Friends. LUNCH! A happy trifecta!! Both of these barns are charming but the charmingest to me is the top one. The barns have some beautiful clouds keeping them company! Good Morning Dianna!

  5. I thought I heard your voice the other day…missed seeing you though. Hope you and LT had a wonderful lunch.

  6. A couple of very photo-worthy barns indeed! The added bonus of being with friends – well – that’s just as good as the photos !

  8. from the Golden Girls…”you’re a pal and a confidante” Fabulous barn!

  9. Nothing like being a barn celebrity. My uncle loves his barns more than he loves the house and he will be over the moon to see his barn featured! I was so happy to the the friend you came to see! Thanks for the pictures..Love my old teapot with the plant in it!

  10. nice roof lines! like both of these a lot!

  11. A couple of lovely old barns! Great finds!

  12. These old barns are everywhere .. I’m learning that, and our journey to the mountains the other day was a field trip!!

  13. Love the old barns that look like barns and not just sheds for farming equipment. Modern barns aren’t nearly as charming as these two.

  14. You got a good friend!!!!

  18. Fine specimens plus a reference to the song from The Golden Girls to beat. Now I will be humming it in my mind til I go to sleep. The contrast between the first and second barn is striking. Great captures. genie

  20. It’s a beautiful thing Dianna – like finding a treasure on a country road. Thanks for sharing.

  21. I esp like the 2nd one—looks like it’s extending its ‘wing’ to cover and protect.

  22. It’s so wonderful to go down unexplored country roads. There is always something special to find. Love your pics!
